2017 AUG, Cinnamon Air closure

The Sigiriya domestic Airport (GIU) will be closed for renovation (from the 10 th August) and will operate from Hingurakgoda Air force base, Minneriya (MNH) until further notice.

2017 JUL, Disrupted railway services

The railway track from Hatton to Kotagala is currently non-operational due to an urgent repair. Currently commuters could travel from Kandy to Hatton, take the shuttle from Hatton to Kotagala. The railway services re-commences from Kotagala to Nanu Oya and Ella stations and travel to Badulla.

2017 JUL, Yala National Park closure

Please note that the Yala National Park will close as usual during the months of September and October (Dates are not finalized yet) due to the drought period. This is the period in which the Wildlife authorities attend to filling man-made water holes so that animals have adequate water supplies. Road constructions and data is collected (population) is conducted during this period and visitors are not allowed during the closure.

2017 JUN, ASL and ATJ Foundation, US support those affected by floods

In the wake of the torrential rains, a result of the South-Western monsoon conditions, Sri Lanka yet again experienced severe floods and landslides in several parts of the island. Many areas were affected and locals, organizations, media were quick to react to support those affected. With hundreds of casualties, thousands were misplaced in the aftermath of the floods.

Authenticities, together with ATJ Foundation USA were quick to act, harnessing the resourcefulness of their regional expertise, to send quick aid to those in need. The objective was to locate interior areas where access was tough and those affected were badly in need of relief and support. Through our networks, we were made to understand that a Refugee Camp in a Temple in Eheliyagoda required urgent assistance. There were school children and families in need of support. We distributed over 100 individual school bags, Books and Stationary items, Shoes, Socks and Water Bottles to children. We also distributed 250 packs to elders and families which included grocery Items, basic necessities including toothpaste, soap, sanitary items etc.

2017 APR, Authenticities is now a member of TRAC

TRAC is a unique, 12-digit TRACE Registered Access Code TRAC assigned to companies, partnerships, charities, and individuals committed to commercial transparency. TRAC is a global identification system designed to quickly and cost-effectively establish a TRAC holders identity, address, and information, and to allow the holder to share information with customers and to allow companies to have real-time visibility into their supply chains. Furthermore, the TRAC holders name is screened against the various government watch lists. Key documents are uploaded by TRAC holders in order to substantiate the information associated with their code and their profile on the TRAC web portal.

TRAC is the global platform that captures, assesses and shares baseline due diligence information on organizations and individuals and assigns a unique, universally-recognized ID number.

2017 MAR, Kurunegala Dambulla road completed

The much important road network from Kurunegala to Dambulla is now completed. The carpeted road allows smooth commuting towards the cultural triangle and is welcome news to all travelers.

Authenticities will be making its maiden presence at The ITB fair in Berlin from 8th - 11th March 2017. We will be located at hall 21 B booth - 202

2017 FEB, Airport highway connection to the Suthern Expressway

The 11km interchange is currently being constructed and is expected to be completed in 2019. This will allow commuters to travel from- to Airport all the way to the Matara Exit

2014 JUN, Newsletter Volume 4 - Issue 2014 - June

Our quarterly newsletter - Volume 4. The Esala (Kandy) Perahera - a tradition from the times of Kings where richly decorated elephants joined the dancers, drummers, stilt walkers, whip-crackers and hundreds of other devotees. It soon became the symbol of our tradition. Destination Featured - East Coast Passikudah / Trincomalee. On the East Coast of Sri Lanka, lie miles of beautiful and pristine sandy beaches. This area was once less visited by tourists due to the trouble times. However, the development efforts since 2009 offer a beautiful choice of resorts allowing tourists to plan a holiday where they could relax and also explore the unique culture and history.

2014 MAR, Newsletter Volume 3 - Issue 2014 - March

Our quarterly newsletter - Volume 3 coincides with our first year Anniversary. Here we look back at our humble beginnings and look forward to the colourful events which unfold in the next few months. When we were thinking of venturing on our own - the Million Dollar question was, are we going to do the same what we have done for decades or do we reinvent ourselves with fresh ideas. The answer was quite spontaneous - we will reinvent our selves, we will unlearn. Todays success is the philosophy we have shared from the very humble beginnings.
